Abstract:

Kemalettin Kamu who had spent his childhood and youth in different parts of Anatolia and bear witness to national struggle period was impressed by the period and society in which he lived like every writer and poet. Kamu who had never isolated himself from community life and applied himself to telling the public to the people preferred to tell his villagers with the public language in his poems and writings. To the people who saw him as "the old country poet" or described him as "homesick poet", he took as his duty to write in this way. In this study which aims to determine proverbs, idioms and public speeches that are in Kemalettin Kamus' poems, folkloric elements that are in the book which is called "His life, personality and poems" which was compiled after his death are handled. Proverbs, idioms and public speeches in the poet's works are studied under different titles. İt is revealed that Kemalettin Kamu is so successful at using public speeches and transferring them into his poems
