Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the level of organizational commitment of the teachers who work in high schools. The universe of research is formed by high school teachers who have been working in the 2016-2017 educational year in the districts of Kahramanmaraş Center Onikişubat and Dulkadiroğlu. Examples have been selected through the research. 303 of the 2333 teachers working in high schools in Kahramanmaraş or central districts were included in the research. The Organizational Engagement Scale developed by Wasti (2000) was applied to the teachers involved in the research. The study found that men in the normative and emotional commitment dimensions have higher perceptions than women; managers in the normative commitment dimensions have higher perceptions than teachers; employees in the Dulkadiroğlu district have higher perceptions than employees in the Onikişubat district. The age, year of service and branches of participants do not have a significant impact on the perceptions.
