Günümüz dünyasınınönemli sosyo-ekonomik sorunsallarından biri haline gelen iş kazaları; özellikle 2000’li yıllar sonrasında meydana gelen Tuzla, Soma ve Ermenek’te yaşanan kazalarla birlikte giderek kamuoyunda daha fazla yer edinen bir konu haline gelmiştir. Bu sürece yönelik olarak gerek yasal düzenlemeler gerekse de önlem ve tedbirler yoluyla yeni faciaların önüne geçilebilmesi amacıyla birtakım kamu kaynaklı çabalar yürütülmekle birlikte bu çabaların AB ülkeleriyle kıyaslandığında oldukça yetersiz kaldığı gözlemlenmektedir. Türkiye’de İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği adına atılanönemli adım olarak değerlendirilen 6331 sayılı İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Kanunu; AB müktesebatına uygun bir şekilde düzenlenmiş lakin yasal prosedüre yansıyan bu kurallar zinciri, çalışma yaşamına tam anlamıyla nüfuz ettirilememiş ve bu durum iş kazaları açısından Avrupa ülkeleri genelindebelirgin ve ölümlü iş kazalarının Türkiye’de görülmesine sebep olmuştur. Bu çalışma içerisinde; iş kazası kavramı üzerinden Türkiye’deki iş sağlığı ve güvenliği uygulamaları değerlendirilerek, iş kazası verileri Avrupa Birliği ile kıyaslanmış ve bu değerlendirmeler ışığında Türkiye’de iş kazalarını meydana getiren sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri üzerinde durulmuştur.
Employment accidents that have become one of the important socio-economic issues of today’s world, especially the accidents that occurred in Tuzla, Soma and Armenia after the 2000s, have become an increasingly popular issue in the public. This process requires legal regulations, but a number of public-source efforts are carried out in order to prevent new faces through measures and measures, although these efforts are not sufficient compared to the EU countries. The Law on Occupational Health and Safety No. 6331, which is considered an important step in the name of Occupational Health and Safety in Turkey, has been regulated in accordance with the EU law, but these rules that reflect the legal procedure are not fully influenced by the work life, and this situation has caused the observation of significant and fatal work accidents throughout the European countries in Turkey. In this study; assessing the practice of occupational health and safety in Turkey through the concept of occupational accidents, the work accidents data was compared to the European Union and in light of these assessments focused on the problems and solutions proposals that cause occupational accidents in Turkey.
