The study employs the descriptive survey model. Tabloid news included in the tabloid pages of Zaman, Posta, and Hürriyet, which are three Turkish newspapers achieving the highest circulation average in October 2015 according to the data provided by YAYSAT, have been reviewed. Content distribution of the news included in the tabloid pages of the newspapers has been determined, and categorical arrangement has been made on the basis of objectivity, systematicity, and generality. The obtained findings show that popular music icons cover 27.9%, 25.5%, 23.2%, 16.5%, and 6.9% of tabloid, music, family, love life, and health categories respectively; 43 news were published in these categories throughout October 2015; Hürriyet is the newspaper giving the widest coverage to the tabloid news containing popular music icons; Zaman is the newspaper giving the lowest coverage to the tabloids news containing popular music icons; as circulation averages of newspapers decrease, coverage rates of news containing popular music icons increase; and popular music icons are topics of not only tabloid news but also other news related to the field of music.
