Abstract:

With the new curriculum based on the structuring approach, the student has gone out of being a passive recipient in the field, as the teaching environment is described by the teacher, and is placed in the center of the teaching process. In this study, it has first scanned the resources related to active learning, social information course can be used in the teaching of history subjects, the active learning model and techniques that can take the student to the center of the teaching process and make him active in the teaching environment. The research was carried out by the survey (anket) of 80 teachers who entered the social information course in 40 different schools in the 2010-2011 educational teaching year. According to the research results, teachers are aware of active learning and the current state of schools and classes, which teachers say the learning environment, is not very favorable for active learning. Moreover, active learning has much more advantages than traditional learning. However, teachers usually prefer active learning models/techniques with low legal responsibility and cheap cost.
