Abstract:

Religion and holy books are seen as the most important source of art by many researchers. When the Qur’an and Islamic Religion are of the concern, the truth of this view increases more The Qur’an caused important changes in Turkish Nation’s culture, art and literature, especially after their acceptance of Islamic Religion. The Qur’an, from this point of view enlivened classical Ottoman poetry. This Sublime Book affected divan poets deeply with perfection of its saying, contents and figure of speech. All of the divan poets traditionalised referring to the Qur’an in their poems. This interaction was sometimes so deep that there appeared some literary types taking their inspiration from the Qur’an
