Divan literature is the product of hundreds of years of cultural accumulation from the Ottoman Empire to the present, and it is a great valley where thousands of poets grew up. Just as all great poets adopted a philosophy of art, the leading artists of divan poetry also had a poetic sensitivity. However, their expression of their poetic perception is generally different from those of modern poets. Modern poets have presented their art philosophies sometimes with their poems and sometimes with their distinct works. Thoughts related to poetry in Divan literature were mentioned by poets sometimes in divan preambles, in the reason for writing (sebeb-i telif) sections and often between the lines of the couplets. Other than these, poems with repeated voices like "suhan, saying, meaning, gazel, etc." also have an important function in conveying the poetic consciousness of poets. In this study, more than three hundred divans were scanned, and as a result, one "my poem (şiirum)" and six poems with "poem" rhyme were determined. One poem each by İshak Çelebi, Muhibbî, Emrî and Yahya Bey, and three poems by Zâtî were identified. The identified poems offer us important information on this subject in terms of quality. In this study, the thoughts of divan poets about poetry have been tried to be presented to the attention based on the aforementioned poems.
