Abstract:

The aim of this research is to reveal the teachers’ behavior that makes primary school students happy and unhappy and to study the effects of these behaviors on students. The research is in the screening model, and the quality research model is used in the research. The sample of the research is made up of 137 students who take a class management and guidance course in summer teaching at a state university education faculty with the easy-to-accessed case sample method. In the analysis of data collected with a semi-configured form developed by the researchers, content and visual analysis were used. There is also a quantum direction as the sub-themes of the study are indicated. According to the findings of the study, the participants found that the teachers’ behavior that made themselves too happy was a punishment, shock, and mass punishment, such as rewarding, showing interest and giving responsibility. Students have expressed that the teaching behaviors that make themselves happy have the effects such as love the lesson, interest in the lesson, participation in the lesson, love the teacher, feel important, gain confidence, be able to express their thoughts comfortably, choose the teaching profession. Students’ disappointing teaching behaviors have the effects of participating in classes, lack of interest, cold from classes, listening to classes, not loving, hating the teacher, staying away, fear, cold, not talking to the teacher, falling little before their friends from school, getting physically ill, losing confidence, fear of failure, and feeling humiliated.
