Abstract:

Invitro Fertilization has promised hope for many couples over the past 30 years with assistant reproductive techniques that include treatments such as intrauterine insemination. The search for treatment for couples who are unable to have children naturally has made help reproductive techniques important. Couples who start a hopeful journey during the treatment process can not always successfully end this journey. In addition to the failure of treatment in this journey, you can also face a number of complications associated with treatment. Assistant reproductive techniques, which include many invasive methods especially for women, carry a high risk of morbidity and mortality for both women and the fetus. These appear as the risks of medical and surgical procedures that allow the obtaining of oocytes, including Over Hyperstimulation Syndrome. For fetus, multiple pregnancies are related; low birth weight and prematurity are observed in complications such as chromosomal defects. The infertility treatment process is a major problem that affects the lives of couples in a diverse way. Complications that may occur due to the priority of getting pregnancy in treatment can be ignored. In this case, the nurses who communicate with each other have important tasks. They need to know the complications that may arise during the treatment process and plan their nursing approaches to these complications properly and support the couples.
