Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to study the relationship between the lifelong learning skills of the teacher candidates and the knowledge literature self-capacities. The research study group consists of 313 teachers candidates who studied at the Faculty of Education of an university in the Marmara Region during the 2013-2014 academic year spring. In the study, the scale of "Clear Qualifications in Lifelong Learning" and the scale of "Information Reading Self-Qualification" were used by data collection tools. For the significance of the difference, unrelated samples were tested and unrelated samples were used one-factor variance analysis (one-way ANOVA), while correlation and regression analysis were used to study the relationship between the variants. The study found that teachers’ candidates perceive themselves at a sufficient level of lifelong learning, and that they have a high level of self-capacity in the context of knowledge literature. The skill between the lifelong learning skills of the teacher candidates and the gender, the study part and the daily Internet time variables has been found significantly. The findings obtained in the study have shown that there is a positive and middle-level relationship between teaching candidates' lifelong learning skills and knowledge literature self-capacities.
