At the end of the war, the elimination of people’s social and economic victims and desires came to the forefront of the state’s most important tasks. In the subsequent years, countries have developed the concept of economic and social security, increased their social security and economic spending. Today, governments and policy developers are more sensitive to economic and social security spending issues. But the fact that the elderly population in most countries is more than the young population, and that the unregistered economy is at a high level, is a threat to the development of social and economic security. The study included the social and economic security expenditure of Turkey, the proportion to the country’s population, the share of the expenditure separated from the budget. The differences in social and economic security expenditure between Turkey, the EU and the OECD countries have been assessed by data.
