Abstract:

Turkey and Iran are neighboring countries with a rooted history. These territories have long been the territory of Turkish domination from the East, to the Rare Hanlığı and to Shah Ismail. Today, one-third of the population living in this territory is Turkish. This long-term process is the place of peaceful place and the pressure of high policies. The oldest of today's borders of Turkey is the border with Iran and the detection of this border lasts until 1699. The 560 kilometers of this border has not completely eliminated the common gap. Therefore, at the beginning of the Republic, during the Atatürk period, there was a matter of joint action in peaceful politics and beyond the common pact, but different approaches occurred in the relations between 1979 and 1990. The Iranian revolution and the war with Iraq that followed has raised questions for secular and democratic Turkey. Unlike the solid secular circles, the liberal policy is focused on achieving common economic benefits rather than differences in religious and cultural concepts. Bahriye Many, Turan Dursun, Hard Work and even Uğur Mumcu murders preserve the freshness of suspicions that Iran has influenced. The political events and effects between the secular and theocratic ends in the years 1979-1990 are the main lines and the subject of the article. This international political process has been supported by the assessment of the Iranian official news agency IRNA’s recent 40 years of news and analysis about Turkey. Therefore, the original findings have been found.
