Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between the personality types of teachers and their professionalization. According to the relational scan pattern, the data obtained from 663 teachers working in the Düzce province were analyzed. Teachers’ personality types are determined by the Personality Test. In addition to the extent of the profession used, the extent of the profession used by the teachers was also assessed. Furthermore, the relationship between the personality types of teachers and the alienation has been analyzed. According to the findings of the research, the most widely seen personality types are soft headline, outwardness, openness to experience, responsibility, respectively. The least common type of personality is neuroticity. There is a significant difference between the degree of the school in which teachers work and the foreignization, and the highest level of foreignization is in high school teachers. The teachers who don’t like to do the profession also see a significant difference in their level of alienation and are higher than those who love their profession. There is no significant difference in the gender of teachers, the state of education, whether they are graduates of the faculty, the type of staff, the professional age, the age range. Neurotic personality-type dominant teachers are more in professional alienation. From the personality types of teachers, the outwardness, soft headline, responsibility and experience are in a negative and meaningful correlation with the outwardness to the profession. In addition, there is a positive and meaningful correlation between the neurotic type of personality and the professionalization.
