Bu çalışmada İbn Hâleveyh’in Muhtasar fî şevâzzi’l-Kur’ân adlı eserinde Duhâ ve Nâs sûreleri arasındaki âyetlerde zikredilen kıraat vecihlerine yaklaşımı tespit edilecektir. İbn Hâleveyh, IV/X. asırda yaşamış olan âlimlerden biridir. Lügat, nahiv ve kıraat alanlarında derinleşen müellif, bu alanlarla ilgili birçok eser telif etmiştir. Bu eserlerden biri olan Muhtasar fî şevâzzi’l-Kur’ân, kıraatler konusunda temel kaynaklardan biridir. Müellif, bu eserinde Fâtiha sûresinden Nâs suresine kadar ayetlerde geçen şâz kıraatleri nakletmiştir. İbn Hâleveyh, kıraatlerin naklinde genel olarak okuyuşun nisbet edildiği kişileri zikretmiştir. O, bu okuyuşlarda Nebi (s.a.s.), sahabe ve tabiûndan nakledilen kıraatleri aktarmıştır. Bunların yanında müellif, aşere kurrâsından olan kıraat âlimlerine ve onların râvilerine nisbet edilen şâz okuyuşlara da yer vermiştir. Genel olarak kıraatleri okuyanlara nisbet etmekle yetinen müellif kıraatlerle ilgili herhangi bir değerlendirme yapmamıştır. Ancak lügat ve dil âlimlerinin önde gelenlerinden biri olan İbn Hâleveyh bazen dilsel vecihlerle kıraatlerin tevcihini yapmıştır. Bu bağlamda Arap kelamı ve şiiri, sarf ve nahiv kuralları, lehçelerden faydalanmış bazen de dil âlimlerinin görüşlerine yer vererek kıraatlerin tevcihini yapmıştır. Müellif, bazen de nakli delillerden Hz. Peygamberin sözleri ve sahabenin okuyuşundan delil getirerek kıraatlerin tevcihini yapmıştır.
