Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin öznel iyi oluş düzeyleri belirli psikolojik ve demografik değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Psikolojik değişkenler affetme ve psikolojik sağlamlık demografik değişkenler cinsiyet, öğrenim görülen bölüm, aylık harçlık miktarı, anne-baba eğitim düzeyi, yaşanan yer ve sağlık durumudur. Çalışma grubu 661 üniversite öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Öznel iyi oluş Pozitif ve Negatif Duygu Durum Ölçeği ve Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği ile, affetme Heartland Affetme Ölçeği ile, psikolojik sağlamlık ise Ego-Sağlamlık Ölçeği ile ölçülmüştür. Tarama modelinin benimsendiği bu çalışmada Mann-Whitney U Testi, Kruskal-Wallis Testi ve Spearman’ın sıra korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular, katılımcıların öznel iyi oluş puanları ile psikolojik sağlamlık puanları arasında olumlu ilişki bulunduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca katılımcıların öznel iyi oluş düzeylerinde cinsiyet, öğrenim görülen bölüm, aylık harçlık miktarı, baba eğitim düzeyi ve sağlık durumu açısından anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırma bulgularının Türkiye’deki üniversite psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik (PDR) uygulamalarına olası katkıları tartışılmış ve gelecekte bu konuda yapılacak araştırmalara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract:

In this study, the subjective well-being levels of the educational faculty students were studied in terms of certain psychological and demographic variables. Psychological variables are forgiveness and psychological stability; demographic variables are gender, part of learning, monthly expenditure, parental education level, place of living and health. The study group consists of 661 university students. Objective goodness is measured by the measure of positive and negative emotional state and the measure of life, the measure of forgiveness is measured by the measure of forgiveness, the measure of psychological strength is measured by the measure of ego-forgiveness. In this study, the screening model was adopted, the Mann-Whitney U Test, the Kruskal-Wallis Test and the Spearman's sequence correlation test were used. The findings showed that there was a positive relationship between the subjective well-being points of the participants and the psychological well-being points. There were also significant differences in the levels of subjective well-being of the participants in terms of gender, the study area, the monthly pay, the educational level of the father and the health status. Research findings have been discussed about the potential contribution to the practice of university psychological counseling and guidance (PDR) in Turkey and have been presented in recommendations for research to be carried out on this subject in the future.

The present study investigated the subjective wellbeing of education faculty students in terms of demographic and psychological variables. Psychological variables were forgiveness and psychological resilience. Demographic variables were gender, academic major, monthly allowance, parental education level, place of accommodation and health status. Participants were 661 Turkish college students. Data collection instruments were Positive and Negative Affect Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale, Heartland Forgiveness Scale, and Ego-Resiliency Scale. Data were analyzed using Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal-Wallis Test and Spearman’s rank correlation test. Results revealed that participants’ subjective wellbeing scores are positively correlated with psychological resilience. Participants’ subjective wellbeing scores differed significantly with respect to gender, academic major, monthly allowance, father’s education level and health status. Implications for college guidance and counseling practices in Turkey are discussed; and recommendations for future research are provided.
