Metafor iki kavram arasındaki benzerlikten yola çıkarak bir kavramın anlamının başka bir kavrama aktarılmasıdır. Metaforların dildeki zenginliğin ve algılama gücünün önemli bir göstergesi olması bağlamından hareketle, bu araştırmada Türkçe öğretmenliğine ilişkin algıları metaforlar aracılığıyla belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma nitel araştırma yönteminin olgubilim (fenomenoloji) deseni kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri ise gönüllü 115 katılımcının görüşü ile elde edilmiştir. Katılımcılar Sivas ilinde ikamet eden bireylerden oluşmaktadır ve kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme tekniği ile belirlenmişlerdir. Katılımcıların doldurmuş olduğu iki soruluk yarı yapılandırılmış formlar içerik analizi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. İçerik analizi ile ortak özellik barındıran veriler, oluşturulan gruplar ve temalar çerçevesinde bir araya getirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda toplam 115 geçerli metafora ulaşılmış olup cinsiyete ve meslekî duruma göre gruplandırılmıştır. Metaforların %37’sini dilsel unsurlar oluşturmaktadır. Türkçe öğretmenliği anlatılırken en çok kalem, kitap, kelime, sözlük, kılavuz gibi kavramlar kullanılmıştır. Metaforların %93’ünün olumlu bakış açısı taşıdığı saptanırken %7’lik bir kısım Türkçe öğretmenliğine karşı olumsuz yargı taşımaktadır.
The metafor is the transition of the meaning of one concept to another, starting from the similarity between two concepts. Moving from the context that metaphors are an important indicator of the wealth and perceptive power in the language, this study aims to determine the perceptions of Turkish teaching through metaphors. The study was done using the phenomenological method of research. The study was conducted by 115 volunteers. Participants are made up of individuals residing in the province of Sivas and are determined by easy-to-access sample technique. The two questions that participants filled in half-configured forms were solved using content analysis. The content analysis and the data that contain common features are gathered in the framework of the groups and themes created. The study has achieved a total of 115 current metaphors and is grouped according to gender and professional status. 37% of the metaphors are linguistic elements. When the Turkish teaching is described, many concepts such as pen, books, words, dictionaries, guidelines have been used. 93% of the metaphors have a positive viewpoint, while 7% have a negative judgment against Turkish teaching.
