Abstract:

Turkish decoration art is an important heritage of the past as material cultural documents. Turkish artists have a lot of diversity in themes. There are different scientific groups about these grades, such as geometric, figurative, plant, animal, written, architectural, landscape, objective, symbolic and cosmic. These groups are sometimes evaluated in terms of form and sometimes meaning. In terms of meaning, some groupings can be treated in the same scope as in the symbolic and cosmic. The heavenly bodies containing symbolic meanings are considered sacred in almost every civilization and for this purpose are sculptures, books, statues, bubbles, scripts, silk, tablets, etc. It is placed in various forms. One moon, one star, or the symbolic symbols of the moon-star together in each nation have different meanings charged to the moon-star motivation. In the Turkish mythology, various events have been understood together with the moon, the sun and the great stars, which are the reward of important beliefs. Since the acceptance of Islam, it is mostly seen in textiles as a symbol of state and army.
