Çalışmanın amacı, siyasi lider Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu’nun liderlik özelliklerini ortaya koymaktır ve çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemi esas alınarak yürütülmüştür. Esas alınan bu yönteme bağlı olarak Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu’nun siyaset içerisinde birlikte yer aldığı, kartopu örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 20 kişi ile nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak görüşme yapılmış, bu görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular neticesinde Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu’nun siyaset içerisinde yer aldığı dönemlerde sabit ve tek bir liderlik özelliği göstermediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. 1980 öncesinde ani ve tek başına karar almasıyla, teşkilata hizmet edenleri değerlendirip, hizmet etmeyenleri görevden almasıyla ağırlıklı olarak otoriter lider özelliklerini yansıttığı görülmüştür. 1980 sonrasında ise istişareye çok önem vermesiyle, çalışma arkadaşlarına karşı dostane davranışlarıyla, güvenilir bir lider olarak nitelendirilmesiyle, ülkücü camia nezdinde olumlu bir imaj yaratmasıyla, çalışma arkadaşlarının onun ideolojisini benimsemesiyle, siyasi başarıdan daha çok insanlara hizmet etmeyi kendine vazife edinmesi sebebiyle daha çok karizmatik, demokratik, paternalist, dönüşümcü ve hizmetkâr lider özelliklerini gösterdiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
The aim of the study is to reveal the leadership characteristics of the political leader Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and the work is conducted on the basis of the research method. Based on this method, the conversations were conducted using the semi-structured conversation technique, which is one of the quality research methods, with 20 people identified by the cartopus sample method, where Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu participated together in politics, the data obtained from these conversations were analyzed using the visual analysis method. The findings obtained have come to the conclusion that Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu has not shown a fixed and single leadership character in the period in which he was involved in politics. Before 1980, with the sudden and solitary decision, it has been seen to reflect the authoritarian leadership characteristics mainly by evaluating those who serve the organization and taking off those who do not serve. After 1980, with his great attention to consultation, with his friendly behavior to his colleagues, with his qualification as a reliable leader, with his creation of a positive image in the favour of the shelter camia, with his colleagues adopting his ideology, with his commitment to serving more than political success, the conclusion was that he showed more charismatic, democratic, paternalist, transformative and serving leadership characteristics.
The aim of the study is to reveal the leadership characteristics of political leader Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu and the study is conducted based on qualitative research method. Depending on this method in order to present the leadership characteristics of the political leader Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, the main subject of the study, general information about his political life and important events in political life are given with conducting the literature review. In the third part, 20 people who worked with Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu in politics are interviewed by using a semi-structured interview technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods and the data obtained from these interviews are analyzed by using descriptive analysis method. It is seen that Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu did not show a constant leadership characteristic in the period he took part in politics. Additionally, it is that it was predominantly an authoritarian leader with its sudden and solitary decision before 1980, evaluating those who served the organization and dismissing those who did not. After 1980, it was more, because it paid attention to consultations, friendly behaviors towards its colleagues, being a reliable leader, creating a positive image in the idealist community, adopting its ideology and serving to people more than political success charismatic, democratic, paternalist, transformational and servant leader.
