Abstract:

The aim of this study is to explore the impact of elementary 4th grade students’ organizational and understanding skills on problem-solving and establishing skills. In the study involved a total of 105 fourth-class students from two different state primary schools, a relative scanning model of the quantum research method was used. The data collection used the Organizational Skills Scale, Information Text Reading Understanding Skills Scale and Problem Solving and Installing Skills Test. Simple linear regression has been used to determine the relationship between the students understand what they read and the problem-solving skills. At the end of the analysis, the student’s organizational skills have been an important contributor to the problem-solving and establishing skills. But the conclusion is that the ability to understand what you read is not the ability to solve problems and establish them.
