Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the physical education and sport course at high school students according to some variables of sports behavior. The universe of study was created by 5868 students (3725 men-2133 girls) who studied in the 2018-2019 educational-educational year at the Muş province center, while their sample was created by 262 volunteers (192 men-76 girls) students who studied in different high schools at Muş province center. The study included a sample group developed by Coç (2013) with the application of the Body Education Sportmanism Behavior Scale (BEDSDÖ), the positive behavior showing and the negative behavior avoidance points were determined. In the statistical analysis the distribution of groups is homogeneous, the Independent Seample T test for binary comparisons, the One Way Anova test for multiple comparisons, and the Scheffe test for the purpose of determining the difference between which groups, the significance level is taken as p<0.05 . The Cronbach Alpha reliability level of the measure was 0.83. The study found that, although there is no statistically significant difference between girls and boys, girls have higher scores of avoidance from negative behavior than boys. Although the high school type of students is very close to each other, the classroom’s branch level increases and the student’s athletic behavior score increases.
