Bu araştırmada Longo, Coyne ve Joseph (2018) tarafından geliştirilen Genel İyi Oluş Ölçeği Kısa Formu’nu Türk kültürüne uyarlamak, geçerlik ve güvenirliğini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu 328 yetişkinden oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin dilsel eşdeğerlik çalışmalarının tamamlanmasının ardından madde analizi, geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin tek faktörlü yapısının sınanmasında doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonrası elde edilen uyum indeksleri ölçeğin tek faktörlü yapısının doğrulandığını göstermektedir (χ2/df=2.29, CFI=.93, GFI=.90, TLI=.91, RMR= .05, RMSEA= .08). Ölçeğin güvenirlik çalışmaları kapsamında cronbach alfa güvenirliği, madde toplam korelasyon değerleri ve test yarılama yönteminden elde edilen sonuçlar incelenmiştir. Elde edilen cronbach alfa değeri .90 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Ölçeğin madde toplam korelasyonlarının .41 ile .68 arasında değiştiği görülmüştür. İki yarı test güvenirlik analizlerinde Spearman-Brown korelasyon katsayısı .83, Guttman Split-half korelasyon katsayısı .82 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak elde edilen bulgular Genel İyi Oluş Ölçeği Kısa Formu’nun Türkiye’de iyi oluş düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu ortaya koymaktadır.
The aim of this study is to adapt the short version of the Scales of General Well-Being developed by Longo, Coyne and Joseph (2018) for Turkish culture and investigate its validity and reliability. The study group consists of 328 adults. After the linguistic equivalence studies of the scale were completed; item analysis, validity and reliability studies were performed. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the single-factor structure of the scale and the fit indices showed that the single-factor structure of the scale was confirmed (χ2 / df = 2.29, CFI = .93, GFI = .90, TLI = .91, RMR = .05, RMSEA =. 08). Cronbach's alpha reliability, item total correlation values and two half-test reliability were examined in the reliability studies of the scale. The resulting cronbach alpha value was found to be .90. Item-total correlations of the scale ranged between .41 and .68. The Spearman-Brown correlation coefficient was found to be .83 and Guttman Split-half correlation coefficient was found to be .82. Consequently; these values show that the short version of the Scales of General Well-Being is a valid and reliable scale and it can be used to determine the level of well-being in Turkey.
