Abstract:

A compound verb is the name given to a group of words formed by an auxiliary verb and a noun or a verb. The noun or verb element is brought first, and the auxiliary verb comes after. In this respect, compound verbs are divided into two as noun + auxiliary verb and verb + auxiliary verb. Noun + auxiliary verbs are compound verbs that are composed of one or more words with a noun and a basic verb and correspond to a single concept. Verb + auxiliary verb structure, on the other hand, is a compound verb consisting of the combination of a verb element and an auxiliary verb. In this study, the noun + tegcompound verb and the verb + teg- compound verb in the work named Kutadgu Bilig written by Yusuf Has Hacip were tried to be examined. Compound verb structures examined, under the title of noun + teg- compound verb Usage of Noun + Teg- Verb with Noun Cases, It has been classified as the Use of the Noun + Teg- Verb with Possessive Suffixes, and it has been determined that the verb + teg- compound verbs generally constitute examples with adverb-verb suffixes in the analyzed text. It has also been tried to include the frequency of the examples in the work in the text.
