Koronavirüsün yeni türü olan Covid-19 tüm dünyayı etkisi altına almış olan küresel bir salgın haline gelmiştir. Bu virüsle baş edebilmek için bireylerin farkındalığını arttırmaya yönelik yapılacak çalışmalar önem kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Koronavirüs (Covid-19) farkındalığını ölçmeye yarayan geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Çalışma, yaşları 18 ile 30 arasında değişen toplam 403 kişi ile yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmaya Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi İnsan Araştırmaları ve Etik kurulunun 31.08.2020 tarihli toplantısında ‘849’ protokol no ile etik kurul onayı verilmiştir. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi için 191 kişi, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi için ise 212 kişi ile çalışılmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda 17 madde ve 3 faktörden oluşan yapı elde edilmiştir. Üç faktörlü yapının ölçeğe ilişkin toplam varyansın %62’sini açıkladığı görülmüştür. Ölçek maddelerin ortak varyans değerlerinin .33 ile .74 arasında, madde faktör yük değerlerinin .55 ile .80 arasında değiştiği görülmüştür. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda uyum indekslerinin kabul edilebilir sınırlar içinde yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir (x2/df =231,179, SRMR=.05, GFI=.90, AGFI=.85, CFI=.95, TLI=.94, IFI=.95, NFI=.91 RMSEA=.07). Ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa iç tutarlık katsayısı birinci faktör için .93, ikinci faktör için .87 ve üçüncü faktör için ise .82 olarak bulunmuştur. 5’li likert tipinde hazırlanan ölçeğin “Bulaşma Tedbiri Farkındalığı” (BTF) olarak adlandırılan birinci faktörü 9 maddeden, “Güncel Gelişmeleri Takip Farkındalığı” (GGTF) olarak adlandırılan ikinci faktörü 4 maddeden ve “Hijyen Tedbiri Farkındalığı” (HTF) olarak adlandırılan üçüncü faktörü ise 4 maddeden oluşmuştur. Sonuç olarak geliştirilen Koronavirüs (Covid-19) Farkındalık Ölçeği’nin (KFÖ) ileriki çalışmalarda kullanabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The new type of coronavirus, Covid-19 has become a global epidemic that has affected the whole world. Research has become important to raise the awareness of individuals in order to cope with this virus. The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to measure the awareness of coronavirus (Covid-19) . The study was conducted with a total of 403 people between the ages of 18 and 30. This study was approved by the Ethics Board with the Protocol No. 849 at the meeting of 31.08.2020 of the Human Research and Ethics Board of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. 191 people were involved in the opening factor analysis and 212 people were involved in the verifying factor analysis. The opening factor analysis resulted in a structure consisting of 17 substances and 3 factors. It was found that the three-factor structure revealed 62% of the total variance of the scale. The common variance values of measurement materials varied between .33 and .74, while the substance factor load values varied between .55 and .80. As a result of the verifying factor analysis, the conformity index has been found within acceptable limits (x2/df = 231,179, SRMR=.05, GFI=.90, AGFI=.85, CFI=.95, TLI=.94, IFI=.95, NFI=.91 RMSEA=.07). The Cronbach Alfa internal consistency ratio for the first factor was .93, .87 for the second factor and .82 for the third factor. The first factor of the scale prepared in the likert type 5 called "Infectious Precautionary Awareness" (BTF) consisted of 9 items, the second factor called "Actual Progress Tracking Awareness" (GGTF) consisted of 4 items and the third factor called "Hygienic Precautionary Awareness" (HTF) consisted of 4 items. The result developed Coronavirus (Covid-19) Awareness Scale has been found to be a valid and reliable scale that can be used in future studies.

As a result of exploratory factor analysis, a structure consisting of 17 items and 3 factors was obtained. It was seen that the three-factor structure explained 62% of the total variance related to the scale. It was observed that the common variance values of the scale items ranged between .33 and .74, and the item factor load values ranged between .55 and .80. A result of confirmatory factor analysis, it was found that fit indices were within acceptable limits (x2/df =231,179, SRMR=.05, GFI=.90, AGFI=.85, CFI=.95, TLI=.94, IFI=.95, NFI=.91 RMSEA=.07). Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient of the scale was found .93 for the first factor, .87 for the second factor and .82 for the third factor. The first factor of the scale, called "Contagion Precaution Awareness" (CPA), consisted of 9 items, the second factor called "Awareness of Following Current Developments" (AFCD) and 4 items, and the third factor called "Hygiene Precaution Awareness" (HPA). As a result, it was determined that the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Awareness Scale (CAS) is a valid and reliable scale that can be used in future studies.
