İnsanlık tarihi boyunca farklı sebeplere dayalı olarak meydana gelen nüfus hareketleri, aynı ülke sınırları içinde gerçekleştiğinde iç göç adını almaktadır. Türkiye açısından ele alındığında, 1950’li yıllardan itibaren üretim sürecinde yaşanan değişimlere paralel olarak, öncellikle kırdan kente ve kentten kente doğru gerçekleşen iç göç olgusunun beraberinde getirdiği önemli sosyo-ekonomik sonuçların mevcut olduğu görülmektedir. Bu sonuçlardan en önemlilerin başında, göçmenler ile yerli halkın karşılaştıkları uyum sorunları ve farklı kültürleşme türleri gelmektedir.. Bu çalışmada, literatürdeki dış göç ve uyum çalışmalarında sıkça başvurulan kültürleşme olgusu iç göç bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Fiziksel mekân olarak birbirine yakın yerleşim yerlerinde de kültürel farklılıklar bulunduğu ön kabulünden yola çıkılarak, aynı ülke sınırları içinde gerçekleşen nüfus hareketlerinin de adaptasyon, asimilasyon, ayırma ve marjinalizasyon şeklinde sınıflandırılabilecek sonuçları olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Çalışmanın iç göç ve uyum kapsamında yapılacak gelecek araştırmalarda, göçmenlerin sosyal uyum düzeylerinin belirlenmesi, uyumu engelleyen nedenlerin ve uyumu kuvvetlendirici faktörlerin analiz edilmesi gibi önemli noktalara ışık tutması hedeflenmektedir.
Population movements that take place on the basis of different reasons throughout human history take the name of domestic immigration when they take place within the same country’s borders. From the point of view of Turkey, in parallel with the changes in the production process since the 1950s, it appears that there are important socio-economic consequences that the domestic immigration occurring from mainland to city and from city to city accompanies. The most important of these outcomes are the problems of harmony that immigrants and indigenous people encounter and different types of culturalization.In this study, the phenomenon of culturalization frequently applied in the studies of foreign migration and harmony in literature has been addressed in the context of domestic migration. As a physical place, it has been emphasized that, starting from the pre-acceptance of cultural differences in the nearby settlements, the population movements that occur within the same country’s borders can also be classified in the form of adaptation, assimilation, separation and marginalization. The study’s future research in the context of domestic migration and harmony aims to keep light on important points such as determining the social harmony levels of migrants, analyzing the causes of harmony and the factors that strengthen harmony.
Internal migration is the name for human migration within the same country. When Turkey’s history is reviewed in terms of internal migration, one can see that there have been significant results of internal migration which occurred in parallel with industrial developments after the 1950s. The most prominent of these outcomes are the issues related to integration and acculturation. Acculturation is mainly referred to in external migration studies. However, this paper handles the issue of internal migration in the framework of acculturation. It is argued that there may exist cultural differences even among very close places. Therefore, internal migration has outcomes that can be categorized under assimilation, adaptation, marginalization, and separation. This paper aims to throw a new light to internal migration studies in terms of making use of the concept of acculturation to analyze social integration levels of migrants, and highlighting the factors strengthening or hindering adaptation.
