Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the impact of physical activity-based games played in pre-school institutions on the psychomotor development of children. The universe of this study is all 3-6-year-old boys and girls who are ongoing to pre-school education institutions. The sample of the study is made by 41 students who are registered in the Nene Hatun Kindergarten in the 2018-2019 educational year in Nevşehir or Acıgöl district, without any obstacle in participating in body education courses and regularly onto school.8 weeks of games, psychomotor development differences are studied while this study has been applied with control group and pre-test - last test pattern experimental method. In the statistical tests, it was first observed that the data provided the pre-conditions of the parametric tests, taking into account the values of Skewness and Kurtosis, while in the range of -1.0 +1.0 the data was normally distributed. Independent sample t-test was used to find the difference between the two groups as a statistical analysis of the data while the data show normal distribution. Dependent sample t-test has been used for pre-test and final test analyses. As a result, when compared with the experimental group with the control group, the results of the games played in the experimental group were found significant differences in the profit of the vertical jumping, long jumping, dynamic and static balance, speed, tennis ball throwing test, pence strength and elasticity test.
