Abstract:

This study aims to study the relationship between the levels of loneliness in the virtual environment of individuals in need of social isolation and the levels of free time management. The research is designed in the visual and relative scan model from quantum research methods. The research group consists of 251 volunteers. The research data was collected with the "Free Time Management Measurement (BZYÖ)" for the skills of individuals to manage their free time adapted to Turkish by Akgül and Karaküçük (2011) developed by Personal Information Form, Wang et al., and the "Sanal Environment Solitude Measurement (SOYÖ)" developed by Korkmaz, Master and Kurt (2014) to measure the levels of loneliness felt in virtual environments. In addition to the visual statistical techniques in the analyses, the parametric tests, as well as the normal distribution of data, have been used by the Independent T test, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Multi-direct Regression Analysis. According to the gender variable Independent Groups T Test results, virtual sharing is also seen as a significant difference in the benefit of men and women in the under-dimensional programming. As a result of the correlation test, the relationship between the lower dimensions of the virtual environment’s loneliness and the scale of leisure time management has been detected at low and medium level. It has also been shown that the virtual environment’s loneliness scale has an immense impact on the scale of leisure time management. It can be stated that individuals with a relationship between free time management and virtual environment loneliness levels, the more free time management perceptions increase, the virtual environment loneliness levels can also decrease. This indicates the necessity and importance of free time management.
