Bu çalışmada sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sosyal duygusal öğrenme düzeylerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Söz konusu amaç kapsamında sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sosyal duygusal öğrenme beceri düzeyleri; cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum ve mesleki kıdem kapsamında irdelenmiştir. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden kesitsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklem grubu, Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinde görev yapmakta olan 217 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni ile oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın örneklemi belirlenirken kolay örneklemeden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak Sosyal Duygusal Öğrenme Ölçeği Genç-Yetişkin Formu kullanılmıştır. Toplanan verilerin çözümlenmesinde parametrik olmayan testlerden Mann Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis testi işe koşulmuştur. Araştırma sonunda sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sosyal duygusal öğrenme beceri düzeylerinin Sosyal Duygusal Öğrenme Ölçeği Genç-Yetişkin Formu’nun toplam ve alt boyutlarında yüksek çıktığı belirlenmiştir. Öte yandan öğretmenlerin sosyal duygusal öğrenme beceri düzeylerinin cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum ve mesleki kıdem değişkenlerine göre anlamlı biçimde farklılaştığı da ortaya konmuştur.
In this study, it was aimed to examine the level of social emotional learning skills of social studies teachers. In this context social studies teachers' social emotional learning skills levels were investigated according to the age, gender, marital status and professional seniority. The study was carried out in the crosssectional survey design. The sample consists of 217 social studies teachers working in different regions of Turkey. The data of study was obtained through Social Emotional Learning Scale-Young Adult Form. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test were used to analyze the data. In the study, it was determined that social studies teachers' social emotional learning skills levels were high in the total and sub-dimensions of the Social Emotional Learning Scale Young-Adult Form. On the other hand, it was determined that teachers' social emotional learning skills levels differed significantly according to gender, age, marital status and professional seniority variables. Some recommendations have been developed depending on the results.
