Süt Sığırcılığı Yapan İşletmelerin Genel Özelliklerinin Belirlenmesi: İzmir İli Ödemiş ve Tire İlçeleri Örneği

Hayvancılık bugün, gelişmiş ülkelerde bir endüstri haline gelmiş, ekonominin ayrılmaz bir parçası olmuştur. Bu durum, tarımın ve dolayısıyla hayvancılığın ulusal düzeyde geliştirilmesi gereken stratejik bir sektör olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmanın da ana amacı Ödemiş ve Tire ilçelerinde süt işletmelerinin genel özellikleri, üreticilerin yaşadıkları sorunların incelenmesi ve yapılan diğer çalışmalarla işletme yapılarının karşılaştırılmasıdır. Oransal örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak %90 güven aralığı ve %10 hata payı ile İzmir Tire (22 üretici) ve Ödemiş (45 üretici) İlçelerinde toplam 67 süt yetiştiricisiyle görüşülmüştür. İncelenen işletmelerin %52.2’sinin küçük işletmelerin oluşturduğu belirlenmiştir. İşletmelerin %75'i kendi arazisi olup, işletme başına düşen ortalama arazi varlığı 47.59 dekardır. İşletmelerin %56'sında yem bitkisi üretimi yapılmakta olup, en fazla silajlık mısır ekildiği görülmüştür.  Yem giderleri toplam değişken giderlerin %79’unu oluşturmaktadır. Yem giderlerinin de %70’ini kesif yem giderleri oluşturduğu tespit edilmiştir. Süt sığırcılığının gelişmesi için girdi fiyatlarının düşürülmesi gerekmektedir. Fabrika yemine dayalı hayvancılık üretim metodundan vazgeçip, kaba yeme dayalı hayvancılık üretim metodunu yaygınlaştırmak için kooperatif aracılığıyla destekleme yapılmalıdır.

Today, livestock has become an industry in developed countries, and has become an integral part of the economy. This situation demonstrates that agriculture and therefore livestock is a strategic sector that needs to be developed at national level. The main objective of this study is also the general characteristics of dairy enterprises in the Payed and Tire districts, the study of the problems producers experience and the comparison of the business structures with other studies done. With the use of the oransal sampling method, a 90% confidence range and 10% error share have been discussed with a total of 67 dairy farmers in the İzmir Tire (22 producers) and Payed (45 producers) districts. According to the survey, 52.2 per cent of the surveyed were small. 75% of have their own land, and the average land asset per enterprise is 47.59. 56% of enterprises are producing food plants, and the most silage corn is found to be planted.  Food expenses account for 79% of the total variable expenses. 70% of the food expenditure is covered by food expenditure. The price of milk must be lowered to develop the milk industry. Cooperative support should be made to give up the method of production of plant-based livestock and to spread the method of production of crude-based livestock.

Animal husbandry today has become an industry in developed countries, an integral part of the economy. This reveals that agriculture, and hence animal husbandry, is a strategic sector that needs to be developed at the national level. The main purpose of this study is to examine the general characteristics of dairy farms in Ödemiş and Tire districts, to examine the problems experienced by the producers and to compare with the other farms. A total of 67 dairy producers were interviewed in İzmir Tire (22 producers) and Ödemiş (45 producers) districts with 90% confidence interval and 10% error margin using the proportional sampling method. It was determined that 52.24% of the farms were small enterprises. 75% of the farms have their own land and average land holdings per farm is 47.59 decares. In 56% of the farms, fodder crops are produced and silage maize is the most planted crop in the farms. Feed costs account for 79.10% of total variable cost. It has been determined that 70% of the feed costs constitute concentrated feed costs. For the development of dairy cattle, input prices need to be reduced. Support should be made through the co-operative to abandon the livestock production method based on factory feed and to promote the livestock production method based on roughage.
