Zihniyet oluşturmada yadsınamaz bir rol oynayan din, bireylerin toplumsal cinsiyet rol tutumlarının inşasında kilit öneme sahiptir. Bu makalede dinin, yükseköğrenim gör-müş, çalışan, dindar, 0-6 yaş çocuğa sahip kadınların ve eşlerinin toplumsal cinsiyet tutumlarının oluşumu, eş seçimi, kadınlık ve erkeklik algısı, ev işi ve ebeveynlik rolleri paylaşımını nasıl etkilediği araştırılmaktadır. Çalışmada, din kurumunun bahsi geçen nitelikleri taşıyan 25 evli çifti, eş seçimi, toplumsal cinsiyet rol tutumlarının oluşumu ile ev işleri ve çocuk bakım sorumluluklarının paylaşımı hususunda nasıl etkilediğini ortaya koymak amaçlanmaktadır. Derinlemesine görüşme tekniği ile elde edilen verilere dayanan bu araştırma neticesinde, katılımcıların toplumsal cinsiyeti, dinî bir üst değer olarak gördükleri adalet penceresinden ele aldıkları ve ev işi ile çocuk bakım sorumluluk paylaşımı konusunda Hz. Muhammed örneğinde somutlaşan dinî arka planın kadın katılımcıları güçlendirici argümanlar sağladığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca Hz. Muham-med’in ev işlerini paylaşması, ev işi yapmayan erkek katılımcılar tarafından dinî bir emir değil tavsiye olarak yorumlanırken; ev işlerine katılımı yüksek erkekler için ise geleneksel ailelerine karşı ev işi yapmalarını meşrulaştırıcı dinî bir açıklama zemini sağlamıştır.
Religion, which plays an irrevocable role in the creation of mind, has a key role in building individuals’ social gender role attitudes. This article explores how religion, higher education, working, religious, 0-6-year-old women and their spouses influence the formation of social gender attitudes, the choice of spouses, the perception of femininity and masculinity, homework and parental roles. The study aims to show how the religious institution affects the 25 married couples, the choice of spouses, the formation of social gender role attitudes and the sharing of household affairs and child care responsibilities. Based on the data obtained by the deep interview technique, this study results in the social gender of participants, which they see as a religious superior value, and the sharing of responsibility for homework and child care. The religious background, which was materialized in the example of Muhammad, has been found to provide strong arguments to women participants. And also Hz. Muhammad-med’s sharing of homework is interpreted as a religious order, not a advice by the male participants who do not do homework; participation in homework for the highest men has provided a religious explanation that legitimates their homework against their traditional families.
Religion, that plays an undeniable role in creating a mentality, has a significant key role in the construction of individuals' gender role attitudes. The present article investigates the effect of religion on the formation of gender attitudes, choosing one’s spouse, perception of femaleness and masculinity, sharing of household chores, and parenting roles of women and spouses with higher education, working, religious, and with children of 0-6 years of age. The study aimed to show how religion affected 25 married couples with the above-mentioned qualities, their choice of spouse, the formation of gender role attitudes, and the sharing of household chores and childcare responsibilities. As a result of this research which was based on the data obtained with the in-depth interview technique, it was determined that the participants considered the gender through the window of justice, where they see the religion as an upper-value; and the religious background that was concretized in the example of Prophet Muhammad provided empowering arguments for female participants about sharing household chores and childcare responsibility. In addition, it was also determined that Prophet Muhammad’s sharing household chores was interpreted as an advice rather than a religious order by the male participants who did not do household chores; and it also provided the men with high participation in household chores with a religious explanation basis that legitimized their participation in household chores against their traditional families.
