Abstract:

With the spread of digital vehicles and environments, access to these vehicles and environments has become easier. The age of use of digital vehicles and environments decreases parallelly to access. Although some digital environments have an age limit for use, those environments can also be used by individuals below the age limit. In this context, the purpose of this study is to study the social media use and digital gaming profiles of high school and high school students. It is designed in the type of scan that is planned for this purpose. With the survey developed by researchers in the spring period of the 2017-2018 academic year, data from high school (8140) and high school (7281) students from all over Turkey were collected. In the data collection tools prepared for high school and high school students, there are questions prepared to determine the state of social media use of students and the state of digital gaming. The analysis of the data collected found that high school and high school students’ social media use and digital gaming conditions were related to gender, school level, smartphone possession and internet connection at home. In accordance with the results obtained, recommendations on the implementation and the work to be done in the future have been presented.
