Bu çalışmada Soğuk Savaş sonrasında ortaya çıkan Rus orijinli Yeni Avrasyacılık düşüncesinin Rus yayılmacılığı bağlamında Güney Kafkasya bölgesi üzerindeki etkisi, bu durumun Türk dış politikası ve Türkiye’nin Güney Kafkasya bölgesine genel yaklaşımı üzerindeki yansımaları incelenmeye çalışılacaktır. Bu çerçevede Yeni Avrasyacılık düşüncesi ekseninde Rusya Federasyonu’nun ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin Soğuk Savaş sonrası dönemde dış siyaset yaklaşımları Güney Kafkasya bölgesi üzerinden karşılaştırmalı bir şekilde analiz edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Çalışma sırasıyla Etnik ve Jeopolitik Özellikleriyle Kafkasya, Klasik Avrasyacılık ve Yeni Avrasyacılık, Güney Kafkasya’nın Rusya için Önemi, Rusya’nın Güney Kafkasya Politikası, Güney Kafkasya’nın Türkiye İçin Önemi, Türkiye’nin Güney Kafkasya Politikası ile Sonuç ve Değerlendirmeler şeklindeki başlıklardan oluşmaktadır. Ayrıca tarihsel süreçte Güney Kafkasya bölgesinde egemenliğini tesis etmiş iki imparatorluğun devamı niteliğindeki iki bölge ülkesi olarak Türkiye’nin ve Rusya’nın dış siyaset yaklaşımları Yeni Avrasyacılık düşüncesi çerçevesinde ele alınacaktır. Çalışmada tercih edilen teknik ise literatür taramasına dayalı tarama/değerlendirme tekniğidir.
In this study, the influence of the Russian-born New Eurasian idea that emerged after the Cold War in the context of Russian spread on the Southern Caucasus region, the reflection of this situation on the Turkish foreign policy and the general approach of Turkey to the Southern Caucasus region will be examined. In this framework, the New Eurasian thought axis will try to compare the foreign policy approaches of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey in the post-Cold War period through the Southern Caucasus region. The study consists of topics with its ethnic and geopolitical characteristics respectively: Caucasus, Classical Eurasianism and New Eurasianism, Importance of South Caucasus for Russia, Russia's South Caucasus Policy, Importance of South Caucasus for Turkey, Turkey's South Caucasus Policy and Results and Evaluations. Furthermore, the foreign policy approaches of Turkey and Russia as two regional countries in the continuity of the two empires that established their sovereignty in the southern Caucasus region in the historical process will be addressed within the framework of the New Eurasian Idea. The preferred technique in the study is the scan/evaluation technique based on the scan of literature.
In this study the impact of Russian origin New Eurasianism thought which appeared after the Cold War in the context of Russian expansionism and its reflection to Turkish foreign policy and Turkey’s general approach to South Caucasian region will be investigated. In this context the idea of new Eurasianism of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey on the axis of the post-Cold War era foreign policy approach will be analyzed in a comparative way through the South Caucasus region. This investigation is respectively composed of Caucasus with its Ethnic and Geopolitical Features, Classical Eurasianism and New Eurasianism, The importance of the South Caucasus for Russia, Russia’s South Caucasus policy, the importance of South Caucasus for Turkey, Turkey’s South Caucasus Policy and Result and Reviews. Also as successors of two empires and had ruled over the region of South Caucasus the foreign policy approaches of Turkey and Russia will be investigated within the context of New Eurasianism. In this study the preferred method is screening/evaluation based on literature review
