Bu araştırma sporcuların akılcı ve sezgisel karar verme stilleri ile zihinsel hazır oluş düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemleri arasında yer alan ilişkisel tarama modeli benimsenerek dizayn edilmiştir. Kolaylıkla ulaşılabilen örnekleme yönteminin benimsendiği araştırma grubunu spor bilimleri fakültesinde öğrenim gören ve aynı zamanda aktif olarak spor yapan %66.1’i (242) erkek, %33,9’u (124) kadın sporcu öğrencilerin %76’sı (278) düzenli olarak kitap okurken %24’ü (88) düzenli olarak kitap okumamakta ayrıca %50.3’ü (184) bireysel sporlarla, %49.7’si (182) takım sporları ile ilgilenen sporcu öğrenciler oluşturmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında katılımcılardan elde verileri analize tabi tutmak için IBM SPSS 25.0 paket programından faydalanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi işlemlerin ardından ortaya çıkan istatistiki bulgulara bakıldığında akılcı ve sezgisel karar verme stillerinin cinsiyet ve kitap okuma durumuna göre anlamlı olarak farklılaşmadığı, zihinsel hazır oluşun ilgi boyutunda spor türüne göre anlamlı olarak farklılık tespit edilemezken diğer tüm boyutlarda anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Bağımlı değişken olan akılcı karar verme stillerine ait varyansın %22’sini bağımsız değişkenler tarafından açıklanırken yine bağımlı değişken olan sezgisel karar verme stillerine ait varyansın %17’si bağımsız değişkenler tarafından açıklandığı önemli bulgular arasında yer almaktadır. Sonuç olarak; Zihinsel hazır oluşun ilgi, odaklanma, korku, zihinsel hazırlık, motivasyon boyutlarının akılcı karar verme stilleri üzerinde anlamlı (önemli) bir yordayıcı olduğu, soğuk kanlılığı koruma boyutunun ise akılcı karar verme stilleri üzerindeki etkisinin önemli olmadığı görülmüştür. Diğer taraftan Zihinsel hazır oluşun ilgi, odaklanma, motivasyon ve zihinsel hazırlığın sezgisel karar verme üzerinde anlamlı (önemli) bir yordayıcı olduğu sonucunun yanı sıra korku ve soğuk kanlılığı koruma boyutunun ise sezgisel karar verme üzerindeki etkisinin önemli olmadığı görülmüştür.
This study aims to explore the relationship between the intellectual and intuitive decision-making styles of athletes and the levels of mental preparation. The research was designed by adopting the relative scanning model that is included among quantum research methods. The research group, which adopted the easy-to-access sample method, consisted of 66.1 percent of students who studied at the Faculty of Sports Sciences and also actively sports (242) men, 33.9 percent (124) women’s sports students, 76 percent (278) regularly read books, while 24 percent (88) regularly read books, and 50.3 percent (184) individual sports, 49.7 percent (182) team sports. IBM SPSS 25 to keep the data obtained from participants under analysis in the framework of the research. The program is 0 package. With the statistical findings arising after the analysis processes, reasonable and intuitive decision-making styles have not varied significantly according to the status of gender and reading, the size of mental preparation is not significantly differentiated according to the type of sport, while significantly differentiated in all other dimensions. 22% of the variance of the dependent intellectual decision-making styles is described by independent variants, while 17% of the variance of the dependent intuitive decision-making styles is described by independent variants. As a result, mental preparation has shown that interest, focus, fear, mental preparation, motivation dimensions are a meaningful (important) contributor to the intellectual decision-making styles, while the cold-blood protection dimensions have shown that the impact on the intellectual decision-making styles is not important. On the other hand, the conclusion that mental preparation is a meaningful (important) contributor to intuitive decision-making is that interest, focus, motivation and mental preparation are not important, and that the measure of protection of fear and cold blood is not important, and that the impact on intuitive decision-making is not important.
