Abstract:

The books needs of students in the Ottoman Empire are mostly provided through the foundation libraries. This is why since the founding years, libraries have been opened through the foundations. With Tanzimat, these kinds of libraries, which are rapidly spreading in Istanbul, have also spread to the threshold over time. Especially the II. During the period of Abdülhamid, books were founded by the state advanced by establishing libraries in the towns of Tashra. Beşiktaş Guardians Seven-Eight Hasan Pasha also founded a foundation library in the Ulu Cami garden with about four hundred and twenty works in Chorum, which is his homeland. There is no detailed study of the libraries and founded books that have been destroyed today. The number of founded books has been expressed to a hundred and seven hundred so far, and the books have not been reviewed. Hasan Pasha Chorum founded the foundation library first with four hundred and twenty-two works, and later continued to support it. In addition, it is possible to say that when the works founded by Pasha are studied, he has established a medrese library in Zorum. In this study, Hasan Pasha's foundation library will be examined and the uncertainty about the library will be eliminated and a contribution to the thought world of Hasan Pasha will be made.
