Amaç – Bu araştırmada nomofobinin işgören verimliliğine olan etkisinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem – Araştırma kapsamında Eskişehir’de faaliyet gösteren yiyecek içecek işletmeleri çalışanlarından yüz yüze anket tekniği aracılığıyla veri toplanmıştır. Anket formu nomofobi ve işgören verimliliği ölçekleri ile demografik sorulardan meydana gelmektedir. Araştırma kapsamında 686 kişiden veri elde edilmiştir. Veriler üzerinde frekans dağılımı, faktör analizi ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bulgular – Yapılan çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi sonucu nomofobinin bilgiye ulaşamama, rahat hissedememe, iletişim kuramama ve bağlantıyı kaybetme olarak adlandırılan tüm alt boyutlarının işgören verimliliği üzerinde negatif yönlü anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Tartışma – Elde edilen verilerden hareketle yapılan analizler nomofobi algısının işgören performansını olumsuz olarak etkilediğini göstermektedir. Bu sonuç literatürdeki birçok çalışma tarafından da desteklenmektedir. Öte taraftan bu çalışmadaki bulguların aksine nomofobinin verimliliği arttırdığı sonucuna ulaşılan bir çalışmaya da ulaşılmıştır. Mevcut nomofobi literatürünün henüz yeni olması, nomofobinin iş yaşamına etkilerini inceleyen çalışmaların sınırlı sayıda olması ve sosyal bilimlerin yapısı göz önünde bulundurulduğunda,,, araştırma sonuçlarının farklılık göstermesi normal bir durum olarak değerlendirilebilir. Bu noktada daha net bir fikir vermesi ve mevcut literatürü güçlendirmesi adına nomofobinin iş yaşamındaki etkilerine yönelik daha fazla çalışmanın yapılması gerektiği düşünülmektedir.
Purpose - This study aims to identify the impact of nomofobia on employer efficiency. Method - In the framework of the research, data were collected through the face-to-face survey technique from employees of food and beverage enterprises operating in Eskişehir. The survey form consists of nomofobia and employment efficiency scales and demographic questions. In the study, 686 people were identified. On the data frequency distribution, factor analysis and multi-linear regression analysis were carried out. Results - A multi-linear regression analysis found that nomofobia has a negative meaningful effect on the employee efficiency of all subdimensions called unaccessfulness to information, uncomfortableness, unable to communicate and loss of connection. Debate - Analyzes from the obtained data show that the perception of nomofobia negatively affects the employer's performance. This result is also supported by many studies in literature. On the other hand, unlike the findings in this study, a study has also reached the conclusion that nomofobia increases the efficiency. The fact that the existing nomofobia literature is still new, the limited number of studies that study the effects of nomofobia on the business life and the structure of social sciences are taken into account, the difference in research results can be considered normal. In this point, it is believed that more research should be done on the effects of nomofobia in the business life in order to give a clearer idea and to strengthen the current literature.
