Tüketicilerin Organik Yumurta Satın Alma Tercihlerini Etkileyen Faktörler; Aydın İli Efeler İlçesi Örneği

Abstract:

Amaç; Bu araştırmanın amacı, tüketicilerin organik yumurta satın alma tercihlerini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemektir. Tasarım/Metodoloji /Yaklaşım: Araştırma kapsamında Aydın ili Efeler ilçesinde yaşayan 121 tüketici ile görüşülmüştür. Organik yumurta tüketimini etkileyen faktörler 9 alt boyut ve 33 maddeden oluşan bir ölçek yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Ölçeğin alt boyutları normlar, sağlık bilinci, özkimlik, organik gıda tüketmenin faydaları, inanışlar, sosyal kimlik, gıda güvenliği, olumlu ahlaksal yaklaşım ve bilgi aramadan oluşmaktadır. Bu ölçme aracının yapı güvenilirliği Cronbach's Alfa katsayıları ile değerlendirilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde t-testi ve ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya 81 kadın, 40 erkek tüketici katılmıştır. Tüketicilerin yaş ortalaması 44.31’dir. Tüketicilerin 62’si organik yumurta tüketirken, 59’u ise organik yumurta tüketmediğini belirtmiştir. Organik yumurta satın almayı etkileyen faktörlerin, normlar, özkimlik, organik ürünlerin faydalarının bilinci, gıda güvenliği, bilgi arama olduğu saptanmıştır. Organik yumurta tüketmeyi tercih edenlerin kadın tüketicilerin ve spor yapan bireylerin beslenmelerinde daha fazla organik yumurta tükettikleri belirlenmiştir. Özgünlük/Değer: Türkiye’de organik yumurta üretimine ve pazarlamasına yön verebilmek ve uygun politikalar oluşturabilmek açısından tüketici tercihleri önemlidir. Bu araştırmanın sonuçlarının bu yönde paydaşlara katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir.

Factors That Affect Consumers' Choices to Buy Organic Eggs: A Bright Egg District Example

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to identify the factors that influence consumers’ preferences to buy organic eggs. Design / Methodology / Approach: The study examined 59 consumers who consumed 121 organic eggs and 62 consumers who did not prefer to consume. Consumers’ sociodemographic characteristics are given by frequency tables. In the evaluation of the data, the t-test and the ANOVA test, which are based on the percentage calculations and the parametric test methods, were used.

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that affect consumers' organic egg purchasing preferences. Design/Methodology/Approach: Within the scope of the research, 121 consumers living in Aydın province Efeler district were interviewed. The factors affecting organic egg consumption were analyzed with the help of a scale consisting of 9 sub-dimensions and 33 items. The sub-dimensions of the scale consist of norms, health awareness, self-identity, benefits of consuming organic food, beliefs, social identity, food safety, positive moral approach and information seeking. The structural reliability of this scale was evaluated with Cronbach's Alpha coefficients. T-test and ANOVA test were used to evaluate the data. Findings: 81 female and 40 male consumers participated in the research. The average age of consumers is 44.31. While 62 of the consumers consumed organic eggs, 59 stated that they did not consume organic eggs. It has been determined that the factors affecting the purchase of organic eggs are norms, self-identity, awareness of the benefits of organic products, food safety, and information seeking. It has been determined that those who prefer to consume organic eggs consume more organic eggs in their diets of female consumers and individuals who do sports. Orginality/Value: Consumer preferences are important in terms of directing organic egg production and marketing and creating appropriate policies in Turkey. It is expected that the results of this research will contribute to the stakeholders in this direction.
