Abstract:

The purpose - the insurance sector is one of the most important sectors in the economy, with the funds it forms and the risk transfer system. The insurance sector has a strong structure related to the development and consumption of the economy. The aim of the study is to investigate the impact of Turkey’s insurance expenditure and non-clean domestic income on the insurance market share in the 1990-2019 years. Method - The study was conducted by the analysis of the aggregated regression; the dynamic smallest squares, the fully modified smallest squares and the canonic aggregated regression models were found by the analysis of the aggregated regression. This determines the direction of the relationship between the variables. The study concluded that the increase in non-clean domestic revenue and insurance expenditure in Turkey in the years 1990 - 2019 positively affected the insurance market share and contributed to the increase in the insurance market share. Discussions - The conclusion is that each of the three achieved combined regression models gives very close results and the results of the three models coincide with each other. The work to be done to increase the net domestic income will also contribute to the increase in the insurance market share and insurance expenditure. Increasing insurance expenditure will also contribute to the increase in the insurance market share.
