Adölesanların Beslenme Bilgi Düzeylerinin Beslenme ve Egzersiz Alışkanlıkları Üzerine Etkisinin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Çalışmanın amacı, Gümüşhane Türk Telekom Fen Lisesi öğrencilerinin beslenme bilgi düzeylerinin beslenme alışkanlıklarına ve egzersiz düzeylerine etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Çalışmaya Gümüşhane Türk Telekom Fen Lisesi’nde öğrenim gören gönüllü öğrenciler dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin genel özellikleri, vücut ağırlıkları ve boy uzunluklarının yanı sıra beslenme bilgi düzeyleri, beslenme ve egzersiz davranışlarını ölçmeye yönelik sorular içeren anket formu kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %38.6’sı erkek, %61.4’ü ise kızdır. Öğrencilerde fazla kilolu ve obez oranları sırasıyla erkek öğrencilerde %8.6 ve %9.7, kızlarda %11.5 ve %8.8’dir. Öğrencilerin yaklaşık %45’i yurtta, yarısından fazlası ise ailesi ile birlikte yaşamaktadır. Annelerin çoğunluğu (%49.4’ü) ilkokul-ortaokul mezunu, babaların çoğunluğu (%45.2’si) üniversite mezunudur. Öğrencilerin beslenme bilgi düzeyleri ile annelerinin eğitim seviyeleri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Beslenme bilgi düzeyleri açısından öğrencilerin %69.3’ü iyi, %26.1’i yeterli, %4.6’sı da yetersizdir. Öğün düzeni davranış puanı, süt ve süt grubu besinleri her gün tüketme, haftada en az 3 gün et ve türevi besinler tüketimi, beslenme bilgi düzeyi iyi ve yeterli olanlarda yetersiz olanlara göre anlamlı olarak daha fazla bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Sağlıklı beslenme ve egzersiz davranışı puanı ile öğün düzeninin erkeklerde daha iyi olduğu görülmüştür (p<0.05). Beslenme bilgi düzeyi arttıkça öğrencilerin psikolojik yeme davranış puanlarının azaldığı ve fiziksel olarak aktif olmaya eğilimin arttığı saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak öğrencilerin beslenme bilgi düzeyinin, barınma durumunun ve ebeveynlerinin eğitim seviyelerinin beslenme davranışlarını ve egzersiz eğilimlerini etkilediği söylenebilir.

Analysis of the Effects of Nutrition Knowledge Levels on Nutrition and Exercise Habits

The aim of the study is to determine the impact of nutritional knowledge levels of students in Gümüşhane Turk Telekom Science School on nutritional habits and exercise levels. Volunteer students who studied at Gümüşhane Turk Telekom Science High School were included in the study. The study used a survey form that contains questions aimed at measuring students’ general characteristics, body weights and lengths as well as nutritional knowledge levels, nutrition and exercise behavior. 38.6% of the students who participated in the study were men and 61.4% were girls. The rate of overweight and obesity in students is 8.6% and 9.7% in boys, 11.5% and 8.8% in girls, respectively. Approximately 45% of students live in the country and more than half live with their families. The majority of mothers (49 percent). 4th) primary and secondary school graduates, the majority of fathers (45.2%) are university graduates. There has been a positive relationship between the level of nutrition knowledge of students and the level of education of their mothers. In terms of nutrition knowledge levels, 69.3% of students are good, 26.1% are sufficient, and 4.6% are insufficient. The diet order behavior score, the daily consumption of milk and milk group foods, the consumption of at least 3 days a week of meat and derivative foods, the nutrition information level has been significantly higher than those in good and inadequate (p<0.05). Healthy nutrition and exercise behavior scores have shown that the meal order is better in men (p<0.05). As the level of nutrition knowledge increases, it has been found that students’ psychological eating behavior scores decrease and the tendency to be physically active increases. As a result, it can be said that the level of nutritional knowledge of students, the status of accommodation and the educational levels of their parents affect nutritional behaviors and exercise trends.

The study aims to investigate the effect of nutrition knowledge levels of Gümüşhane Türk Telekom Science High School students on their nutritional and exercising habits. Student volunteers from the above-mentioned school were included in the study. A questionnaire was used to measure overall characteristics, body weights and lengths, nutritional information levels, nutritional and exercise behaviors of them. Of the students, 38.6% was male and 61.4% was female. Overweight and obesity rates were 8.6% and 9.7% in males, and 11.5% and 8.8% in females. Of them, approximately 45% was living in the dormitory and more than half was living with their parents. The majority of mothers (49.4%) was primary-secondary school graduate, while the majority of fathers (45.2%) was college graduate. A positive relationship was found between nutritional knowledge of the students and educational levels of their mothers. In terms of nutritional knowledge, 69.3% of the students had good, 26.1% had adequate, and 4.6% had inadequate level. Meal scheme behavior score, consumption of milk and dairy products daily, consumption of meat and derivatives at least 3 days per week were significantly higher in those with good and adequate nutritional knowledge (p<0.05). Healthy diet and exercise behavior score and meal scheme was better in males (p<0.05). Students' psychological eating behavior scores were found to decrease and tendency to be physically active was found to increase as their nutritional knowledge level increases. In conclusion, nutritional knowledge level, housing status and parental education levels of the students affect their nutritional behavior and exercise tendencies
