Okullarda Örgütsel Sinizmin Yordayıcısı Olarak Karar Verme Sürecine Katılım

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul öğretmenlerinin karar verme sürecine katılımı ile örgütsel sinizm düzeyleri ve bu iki değişken arasındaki ilişkilerin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. İlişkisel tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın katılımcılarını Erzurum İli Yakutiye İlçesindeki seçkisiz küme örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 14 ortaokul, bu okullarda çeşitli branşlar da görev yapmakta olan 289 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Karar Vermeye Sürecine Katılım ve Örgütsel Sinizm Ölçeği olmak üzere iki tür veri toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmenlerin karar verme sürecine katılım düzeyi yüksek, örgütsel sinizm düzeyi ise düşüktür. Öğretmenlerin karar verme sürecine katılım ölçeği alt boyutlarından örgütsel ortam boyutu tüm sinizm boyutları ile negatif orta düzeyde ilişkili bulunurken bireysel tutum boyutu sadece duyuşsal ve genel sinizm puanlarıyla düşük düzeyde negatif ilişkili bulunmuştur. Öğretmenlerin karar verme sürecine katılım genel puanları ile örgütsel sinizm genel puanları orta düzeyde negatif ilişkili olduğu, karar verme sürecine katılım boyutları olan örgütsel ortam ve bireysel tutumun birlikte örgütsel sinizmdeki varyansın yaklaşık olarak % 33’ünü açıkladığı bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır.

Participation in Decision-making Process as A Predictor of Organizational Cynicism at Schools

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to identify the participation of high school teachers in the decision-making process and the organizational sinism levels and the relationships between these two variables. The participants of the research carried out in the Relational Scanning Model are selected by the unselected group sampling method in the Erzurum Yakutiye District, 14 secondary schools, in these schools are 289 teachers who are also in charge of various branches. In the study, two types of data collection tools were used: Participation in the decision-making process and the scale of organizational synthesis. The findings from the study show that the level of participation of teachers in the decision-making process is high and the level of organizational sinism is low. The scale of participation of teachers in the decision-making process from the lower dimensions to the organizational environment size is related to the negative middle level with all the dimensions of sinism, while the individual attitude size is found related to the negative low level with only the sensual and general sinism points. The teachers’ participation in the decision-making process and the organizational sinism’s general points are negative in the middle level, the organizational environment and the individual attitude, which are the dimensions of participation in the decision-making process, revealed about 33% of the variance in the organizational sinism.

The aim of this study is to reveal the level of secondary school teachers in participating to the decision making process, organizational cynicism and the relationships between these two variables. The participants of the research, which was conducted in the relational screening model, consisted of 14 secondary schools selected by the random sampling method in the Erzurum Province Yakutiye District and 289 teachers working in various branches in these schools. Two types of data collection tools, named as Decision-making Participation and Organizational Cynicism Scale, were used in the research. According to the findings gathered in the research, the level of participation of teachers in the decision making process is high and the level of organizational cynicism is low. It was found out that the scores of the teachers' participation in the decision making process and the organizational cynicism a moderately negative correlation; organizational environment with dimensions of participation in decision-making process and individual attitudesexplained about 33% of the variance in organizational cynicism.
