Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of teachers who work in public schools on their lifelong learning skills. Research is a state-of-the-art work. The work group consists of 479 teachers who work in the center of the province of Sivas. In the process of data collection for the purpose of the research, the teachers in the work group were asked to fill in writing the form of the semi-configured interview, which was given by face-to-face interview, then the teachers were asked to fill in writing. The semi-configured interview form consists of 6 lifelong learning qualifications determined by the European Union. The results of the application were returned from 433 teachers and the data obtained was evaluated by the method of content and visual analysis. According to the research findings, participants have often expressed positive opinions about their native language communication skills with lifelong learning skills, foreign language communication skills, basic mathematical and science-tech skills, digital skills, learning skills, entrepreneurial skills. But it appeared in negative opinions especially due to the physical insufficiency of schools, the disinterest of school stakeholders and the lack of sufficient understanding of the concept of lifelong learning.
