Abstract The article intends to analyze the recent expansion of religious denominations at Brazilian television scene. Defined as social actors deeply articulated with the global accumulation logics, the electronic churches, especially the ones with neopentecostal influence, conquered an important space in brazilian communications adopting insert logics that articulate the neoliberal economical rules of television content production and distribution to the tradition of national political clientelism and to the nowadays depolitization of social life.
