Portföy optimizasyon problemlerinde Harry Markowitz’in önermiş olduğu Ortalama-Varyans modeli ile William Sharpe’ın geliştirdiği Tek Endeks modeli yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Söz konusu modeller yardımıyla borsalarda işlem gören hisse senetleri çeşitlendirilerek optimal portföyler elde edilebilmektedir. Bu makale Borsa İstanbul’da işlem gören BIST 30 endeksi hisseleri ile oluşturulacak olan portföylerin optimizasyonunda hangi modelin daha başarılı sonuç vereceğini araştırmaktadır. Bu araştırma, portföylerin hesaplanan risk, getiri ve temel performans ölçütleri karşılaştırılarak sonuca ulaştırılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, Ortalama-Varyans modelinin Tek Endeks modeline göre daha iyi performansa sahip portföyleri ortaya çıkardığını göstermektedir.
In portfolio optimization issues, Harry Markowitz suggested the Medium-Varyans model and the Single Index model developed by William Sharpe is widely used. With the help of these models, the stock exchanges that are traded in the stock exchanges can be diversified and optimal portfolios can be obtained. This article explores which model will be more successful in optimizing the portfolios that will be created with the BIST 30 index shares that are traded in Borsa Istanbul. This study was achieved by comparing the calculated risk, return and basic performance standards of portfolios. The results show that the average-Varyans model reveals portfolios with better performance than the single index model.
