Bu araştırmanın temel amacı instagram’dan alışveriş yapan tüketicilerin demografik profilini ortaya koymak ve satın alma davranışları ile ilişkisini analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla Giresun ilinde yaşayan 18 yaş ve üzeri, instagram’dan en az bir kere alışveriş yapmış tüketiciler üzerinde bir anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Sonuçlara göre instagram’dan alışveriş yapanların çoğunluğu genç, bekâr, yüksek eğitimli ve çeşitli meslek gruplarından kadın tüketicilerdir. Satın alma davranışlarıyla ilişkiler incelendiğinde kadınların instagram’dan alışveriş yaparken satıcı tarafından oluşturulan bilgilere daha çok güvendiği belirlenmiştir. Erkekler ise instagram’dan alışveriş sonrasında memnuniyet/memnuniyetsizliklerini kadınlara göre daha çok paylaşmaktadırlar. Kadınlar instagram’ı kolay alışveriş yapma imkânı sunduğu için tercih ederken erkekler instagram’daki yorumlara bakabilmeye önem vermektedirler. Tüketicilerin yaşa göre instagram’ı tercih nedenleri de değişmektedir. Genç tüketiciler için instagram’da yorumlara bakabilme imkânı önemliyken ileri yaştaki tüketiciler için fiyatların uygun olması daha önemlidir.

The main purpose of this research is to reveal the demographic profile of consumers who shop on Instagram and to analyze their relationship with their purchasing behavior. For this purpose, a survey on consumers living in the province of Giresun, 18 years and over, has been conducted on consumers who have purchased at least once from Instagram. According to the findings, most of those who shop on Instagram are young, single, highly educated and female consumers from various professional groups. When the relationship with the purchasing behavior is studied, it is found that women are more confident in the information created by the seller while shopping on Instagram. Men share their satisfaction/insatisfaction more after shopping on Instagram than women. Women prefer Instagram because it offers the possibility of making easy shopping while men are interested in being able to look at the comments on Instagram. The reason why people prefer Instagram is changing. It is important for young consumers to be able to look at the comments on Instagram while it is more important for older consumers to be priced.

For this purpose, a survey study was conducted on consumers aged 18 and over living in Giresun, who shopped from Instagram at least once. According to the results, the majority of people who shop on Instagram are young, single, highly educated, high-income and female consumers from various occupational groups. When the relationships with purchasing behaviors are examined, it has been determined that women shopping on instagram rely more on the information created by the seller before purchasing. Men are more likely to share their satisfaction/dissatisfaction after purchasing than women. While women prefer Instagram because it offers easy shopping opportunities, men give importance to look at the comments on Instagram. The reasons for preference   instagram also change according to age. While it is important for young consumers to view comments on Instagram, affordable prices are more important for older consumers than other groups.
