In Turkey, universities within the distance learning practices have begun to be used in all stages of education and in this scope remote learning centers have been established. This has led to the spread of distance education and at this point the student perceptions have become an important subject. The perceptions play an important role in the adoption of distance learning candidates. It is important to determine the tendencies of teaching candidates in their professional life, interacting with their students through distance learning, how prepared they are for distance learning activities they may encounter in the framework of their professional development, and what factors affect their perceptions of distance learning. The aim of this research is to determine the level of perception of the teacher candidates for distance learning. The research is appropriate to the quantum approach and designed according to the scan model. The sample of the study consists of 321 teachers, including 222 female teacher candidates and 99 male teacher candidates, from third-class students studying at the Faculty of Education of a state university. The research data was used in the collection of "Remote Learning Perception Scale" and personal information form. The research has found that the perception of teachers’ candidates for distance learning is low. It has been determined that the perceptions of teachers' candidates for distance education show a significant difference according to the gender variable and that this difference is in favour of the male teachers' candidates. It has been determined that the perceptions of the teachers candidates for distance learning show a significant difference according to the variable of the section. It has been determined that the perceptions of the teachers candidates for distance learning do not show a significant difference according to the variable of the status of participation in distance learning. It has been determined that the perceptions of distance learning of teachers are not significantly different from the variable of the average daily Internet use time.
