Annelerin Çocuk Yetiştirme Tutumlarının Çocukların Tüketim Davranışına Yansıması

Abstract:

Anne-çocuk ilişkisinin niteliği güçlü olduğunda ve anne çocuğuna karşı olumlu tutum sergilediğinde çocuklarının gelişimi ve sosyalleşmesi mümkün olabilmektedir. Özellikle, annenin tutumlarının şekli çocuğun sosyal ya da materyalist tüketim davranışı sergilemesinde de etkili olabilmektedir. Bu araştırmanın konusu, annelerin çocuk yetiştirme tutumlarının çocukların tüketim davranışlarına etkisinin materyalist ve sosyal tüketim açısından tespit edilmesidir. Araştırma, Balıkesir’in Bandırma ilçesinde ikamet eden ve okul öncesi çağda çocuğu olan annelerle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada Sosyo-demografik veri toplama formu, Aile Hayatı ve Çocuk Yetiştirme Tutumu Ölçeği (PARI), Sosyal tüketim ölçeği ve Materyalizm Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda; baskıcı ve eğitici annelik tutumunun doğru satın alma kararına ve bilinçli tüketimi öğretmeye yönelik olan sosyal tüketim davranışı üzerinde pozitif yönde anlamlı etkisi bulunmaktadır. Reddedici annelik tutumunun ise sosyal tüketim üzerinde negatif yönde anlamlı etkisi vardır. Ayrıca baskıcı ve reddedici annelik tutumunun materyalist tüketim üzerinde pozitif yönde anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu gözlenmiştir.

Mothers' Childhood Attitudes Reflects on Children's Consumer Behavior

Abstract:

When the nature of the mother-child relationship is strong and the mother shows a positive attitude towards the child, the development and socialization of their children can be possible. In particular, the form of mother’s attitudes can also be effective in the child’s social or materialist consumption behavior. The subject of this study is to identify the impact of the mothers’ attitudes to raise children on children’s consumption behaviors in the materialist and social consumption perspective. The research was conducted with mothers who lived in the Bandırma district of Fishesir and who had a child in the pre-school age. The study used the socio-demographic data collection form, the Family Life and Childhood Attitude Scale (PARI), the Social Consumption Scale and the Materialism Scale. The results of the analysis show that the oppressive and educational maternity attitude has a significant positive impact on the social consumption behavior aimed at teaching the right purchase decision and conscious consumption. The rejection of maternity attitude has a significant negative impact on social consumption. It has also been observed that the oppressive and rejecting maternity attitude has a significant positive impact on materialist consumption.

The subject of this study is to determine the effects of mothers' child-rearing attitudes on children's consumption behavior in terms of materialist and social consumption. The research was carried out by making with mothers who live in the district of Bandırma in Balıkesir and have children in preschool age. Socio-demographic data collection form, Parental Attitude Research Instrument, Social Consumption Scale and Materialism Scale were used in the study. As a result of the analysis; oppressive and educational maternity attitude has a positive effect on social consumption aimed at teaching the right purchase decision and conscious consumption. Refusing motherhood attitudes have a negative effect on social consumption. In addition, it was observed that oppressive and rejecting motherhood attitudes had a positive effect on materialist consumption.
