Eğitim üzerine felsefi düşünceler, eğitime ilişkin kavram, ilke, inanç, tutum ve eğitim pratikleri gibi eğitimin pek çok temel öğesini etkiler. Okul yöneticilerinin mesleki yaşamlarında benimsedikleri eğitim felsefesi anlayışları, yönetim süreçlerindeki tutum ve davranışları açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, okul yöneticilerinin eğitim felsefelerine ilişkin tercihlerini belirlemeye ve bazı değişkenler açısından eğitim felsefeleri arsında anlamlı bir farkın olup olmadığı Q metodu ile sınanmaya çalışılmıştır. Okul yöneticilerinin eğitim felsefesi ile ilgili tercihlerinin Q metodu ile incelenmesinin konuya farklı bir boyut getireceği düşünülmektedir. Çalışmada daimicilik, esasicilik, ilerlemecilik ve yeniden kurmacılık eğitim felsefesi akımlarına ilişkin bir takım yargı ifadeleri oluşturulmuştur. Bu yargı ifadeleri “Bir okul yöneticisi olarak…” şeklinde olup, okul yöneticilerinin bu ifadelere katılım düzeylerinin ne olduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan veriler Van İli Merkez ilçelerinde okul yöneticisi olarak görev yapmakta olan eğitim yöneticilerinden elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde bireylerin bakış açılarını, fikirlerini, inançlarını, davranışlarını ve eğilimlerini ölçmeyi amaçlayan Q yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada 30 yargı ifadesi bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle okul yöneticilerinin görüşlerini ayrıştırmak için +4, -4 ölçeği bir Q dizisi olarak tanımlanmıştır. Bu ölçek, kesinlikle katılıyorum (+) ile kesinlikle katılmıyorum (-) arasında tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında katılımcı görüşlerinin 3 faktörde toplandığı ve bu faktörlerin birçok maddede birbirinden önemli ölçüde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir.
Philosophical thoughts on education influence many main elements of education such as educational concepts, principles, beliefs, attitudes and educational practices. The educational philosophy understandings adopted by school administrators in their professional lives are important in terms of their attitudes and behaviors in management processes. In this study, it was tried to determine the preferences of school administrators regarding educational philosophies and to test whether there is a significant difference between educational philosophies in terms of some variables with the Q method. It is thought that examining the preferences of school administrators regarding the philosophy of education with the Q method will bring a different dimension to the subject. A number of judgment statements regarding the perennialism, essentialism, progressivism and reconstructionism philosophy of education were formed in this study. These judgment statements are in the form of “As a school administrator…” and it was tried to determine the level of participation of school administrators in these statements. The data used in the study were obtained from education administrators working as school administrators in the central districts of Van. In the analysis of the data, the Q method, which aims to measure the perspectives, ideas, beliefs, behaviors and tendencies of individuals, was used. There are 30 judgment statements in this study. For this reason, +4, -4 scale was defined as a Q-series in order to differentiate the opinions of school administrators. This scale is designed between strongly agree (+) and strongly disagree (-). Within the scope of the study, it was determined that the participants' opinions were collected in 3 factors and these factors differed significantly from each other in many items.
