Türkçenin özellikle yabancı dil olarak öğretiminin yaygınlaşmasıyla birlikte, bu alanda çalışan yabancıların sayısı da artış göstermiştir. Gerek Türkiye’de gerekse yurt dışında Türkçe öğreten birçok yabancı öğretmen, Türkiye’deki üniversitelerde Türkçe öğretimi alanında lisansüstü düzeyde çalışmalar yürütmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’de öğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Türkçe eğitimi üzerine yaptıkları lisansüstü tezleri üniversiteleri, dilleri, konuları, araştırma yöntemleri gibi değişkenler bakımından incelemek, bu yolla bu alanda çalışanlara yeni fikirler ve farklı bakış açıları kazandırabilmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, 1990-2018 yılları arasında Türkiye’de öğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Türkçe eğitimi üzerine yazdıkları 59 lisansüstü tez incelenmiştir. Betimsel tarama modelinin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada, yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Türkçe eğitimi üzerine en fazla 2016 yılında tez yaptıkları görülmüştür. Yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin hazırladıkları tezlerden 58’i yüksek lisans, sadece biri doktora düzeyindedir. Yabancı uyruklu öğrenciler Türkçe eğitimi üzerine en fazla Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, Gazi Üniversitesi ile İstanbul Üniversitesinde tez hazırlamışlardır. Türkçe eğitimi üzerine tez yapan yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin en fazla Kazakistan’dan geldiği, onu Afganistan, Gürcistan, Irak ve Mısır’ın izlediği saptanmıştır. Yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Türkçe eğitimi üzerine hazırladıkları tezlerde konu olarak en fazla kendi ana dilleri ile Türkçeyi dil bilgisi, sözcük türleri, söylem özellikleri ve anlam bilim açısından karşılaştırma çalışmalarına yer verdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca Türkçe eğitimi üzerine tez hazırlayan yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin çalışmalarında çoğunlukla nitel yöntemi tercih ettikleri, en az başvurulan çalışma yönteminin ise karma yöntem olduğu, 59 tezin 25’inde yöntem bölümünün bulunmadığı saptanmıştır.
With the spread of the teaching of Turkish, especially as a foreign language, the number of foreigners working in this field has also increased. Many foreign teachers who teach Turkish in Turkey or abroad, in Turkey's universities, conduct graduate studies in the field of Turkish teaching. The purpose of this research is to study the postgraduate theses that foreign citizens studying in Turkey on Turkish education in terms of variables such as universities, languages, subjects, research methods, in this way to get employees in this field new ideas and different perspectives. According to this purpose, 59 sub-graduate theses written on Turkish education by foreign students studying in Turkey between 1990 and 2018 have been studied. In this study, using the visual scan model, it was found that foreign students made the most of their theses on Turkish education in 2016. Of the theses prepared by foreign students, 58 are at the master’s level, only one at the doctoral level. Foreign students have prepared a thesis at the University of Istanbul with the University of Gazi on the Turkish education at the maximum of Nine September. It is found that the majority of foreign students who do the thesis on Turkish education come from Kazakhstan, followed by Afghanistan, Georgia, Iraq and Egypt. Foreign students have found that in the theses they prepare on Turkish education as the subject they are most involved in comparison studies in terms of Turkish language knowledge, word types, speech characteristics and meaning science. In addition, the study of foreign citizens who prepare a thesis on Turkish education has found that they prefer the quality method in their studies, the least applied method of study is the karma method, 59 thesis 25 does not have the method section.
