Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to reveal differences and similarities by examining the findings related to the planning, application and evaluation stages of the course in accordance with the opinions of the orchestra/room music class teachers in the institutions that train music teachers. Research is an imaginary study in which research methods are used. For the basis of the research and the achievement of the targeted objectives, the relevant sources of the subject have been studied, the expert opinion is taken and the data collection tool is prepared. The standardized open-end interview form for use in the research is also prepared by taking the opinions of specialists. The study group of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKU), Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU), Gazi University (GÜ), Harran University (HÜ), Black Sea Technical University (KTÜ), Ondokuz May University (OMU), Pamukkale University (PAÜ), Fiskesir University (BAÜN) and Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (AIBU) music education educational institutions consist of teachers conducting orchestra/room music courses in the 2018-2019 educational year. The findings obtained using a standardized open-end conversation form are analyzed by content analysis. According to the research results, the faculty members have determined that students pay attention to the technical level, the nature of the works and the objectives and objectives of the concert. The insufficiency of physical conditions and the limitation of class hours are also among the achieved results that the orchestra lessons have a negative impact on the training and teaching process. The works studied in the orchestra/room music classes have been shown to be different in their types and periods. The research finds that orchestra/room music will contribute to the training process and suggests that it will be useful to reduce problems in the classroom.
