Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim 8. Sınıf öğrencilerinin Hücre Bölünmesi ve Kalıtım ünitesindeki kavram yanılgılarını “kavram çarkı diyagramı” kullanarak tespit etmek, tespit edilen kavram yanılgılarını kavramsal değişim metinleri ve anoloji kullanarak gidermektir. Araştırmada tek gruplu ön test-son test modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi Kırşehir/Türkiye’deki ‘A İlköğretim Okulu’ndan 26 sekizinci sınıf öğrencisi Erkek -12/Kız -14 olmuştur. Öğrencilerin ‘Hücre Bölünmesi ve Kalıtım’ kavram yanılgılarını tespit etmek için üç kavram çarkı diyagramı çizdirilmiştir. Bu araştırma sonuçları öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğunda "DNA, kromozom, gen", "mutasyon, modifikasyon" ve "mitoz bölünme ve mayoz bölünme" hakkında kavram yanılgılarına sahip olduklarını göstermiştir. Tespit edilen kavram yanılgılarını gidermede anoloji ile verilen kavramsal değişim metinlerinin etkisi incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak anoloji ile verilen kavramsal değişim metinlerinin öğrencilerde tespit edilen kavram yanılgılarını gidermede başarılı olduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this study is to determine 8th grade students’ misconceptions about the unit of “Cell Division” by using roundhouse diagramming, detected misconceptions eliminate by an analogy and conceptional change texts. The research single group pre-test and post test were used. The sample of study was 26 eighth grade students Boy – 12/Girl –14 from “A Primary School” in Kırsehir/Turkey. Three roundhouse diagrams were drawn about unit of cell division’s seven basic concepts to determine their misconceptions. The results of this research show that the vast majority of students had misconceptions about “DNA, chromosome, gene”, “mutation, modification” and “mitosis, meiosis”. Given to remove misconceptions identified by analogy to investigate the effect of conceptual change texts. As a result, by analogy, the conceptual change texts were found to be effective in remedying students' misconceptions were identified
