Din ile siyaset arasındaki ilişki, geçmişten günümüze süregelen ve her zaman önemini koruyan bir konudur. Siyaset mevzu bahis olduğunda, dinin, tarihin çeşitli dönemlerinde bir meşrulaştırma aracı olarak karşımıza çıktığı görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla dinin siyasetle daima ilişkisi olmuştur denebilir. Bu anlamda, politik olanın aynı zamanda kutsal olduğu da söylenebilir. Ancak aydınlanma ve modernleşme süreciyle birlikte geleneksel anlamda kutsallık ve din olgusunun ayinleri ve inançlarının yerini, modern dinler ve ulus devlet bilinci bağlamında gelişen ulusal ayinler ve inançlar almıştır. Dinin ve kutsallığın bu değişim ve dönüşümü hakkında değerlendirmeler yapan fikir ve düşünce insanları, bu süreçle alakalı olarak sivil din, politik din, milli din gibi çeşitli kavramlar türetmişlerdir. Bu çalışmada da kutsallaşmanın bu kırılma noktasından hareketle, modern bir siyasal ideoloji olan faşizmin kutsallaştırılmasına değinilerek siyasal din perspektifinde değerlendirmeler yapılacaktır.
The relationship between religion and politics is an issue that has been ongoing from past to present and has always maintained its importance. When it comes to politics, religion has appeared as a means of legitimization in various periods of history. Therefore, it can be said that religion has always had a relationship with politics. In this sense, it can be said that what is political is also sacred. However, with the process of enlightenment and modernization, the rituals and beliefs of holiness and religion in the traditional sense have been replaced by national rituals and beliefs that have developed in the context of modern religions and nationstate consciousness. Thinkers and intellectuals who have made evaluations about this change and transformation of religion and sacredness have derived various concepts such as civil religion, political religion, national religion in relation to this process. In this study, based on this breaking point of sanctification, the sanctification of fascism, a modern political ideology, will be discussed and evaluations will be made in the perspective of political religion.
