Koronavirüs (Covid-19) pandemisi ile birlikte tüm dünyada, hayatın her alanında bir dönüşüm söz konusudur. Bu dönüşümden mekânsal, ekonomik ve sosyal boyutta kuşkusuz kentler ve kentliler daha fazla etkilenmiştir. Kentsel aktivitelerin kısıtlanması, bireysel hareketliliğin sekteye uğraması alışveriş, sağlık, eğitim gibi birçok sektörde kendini hissettirmiştir. Pandemideki bu kısıtlılık doğrudan ulaşım hizmetlerine, dolaylı olarak da bireylerin ulaşım davranışlarına yansımaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada bireylerin değişen kent içi ulaşım davranışlarının ve ulaşım türü seçimlerinin açığa çıkarılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda hastalığın yayılma/bulaşma hızının yüksek olduğu Başkent Ankara örneklem alanı olarak seçilmiştir. 20-23 Nisan 2021 tarihleri arasında, kartopu örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak 169 kişi ile çevirim içi anket gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anket bulgularına göre pandemi öncesi ve pandemi döneminde kullanılan ulaşım türleri ve kullanım sıklıklarında anlamlı farklılaşmalar tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların toplu taşıma sistemlerinde hastalığa yakalanma endişelerinin arttığı, dolayısıyla kentteki toplu taşıma yolculuklarının azaldığı saptanmıştır. Toplu taşımada alınan tüm önlemlere rağmen katılımcıların özel araç kullanmayı tercih ettiği gözlenmiştir.

With the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic worldwide, there is a transformation in all areas of life. This transformation has been more influenced by cities and towns in a spatial, economic and social dimension. The limitation of urban activities, the intrusion of individual mobility has felt in many sectors such as shopping, health, education. This limitation in the pandemic reflects the direct transportation services, and indirectly the transportation behavior of individuals. In this context, the study aims to reveal the changing urban transport behavior and transportation type choices of individuals. According to this purpose, the capital Ankara is selected as the sample area where the spread/infection rate of the disease is high. Between 20 and 23 April 2021, a translation survey was conducted with 169 people using the cartridge sample method. According to the survey findings, significant differences in the types of transport and frequency of use used in the pre-pandemic and period of pandemic have been identified. It was found that participants increased concerns about the disease in the public transport systems, which resulted in a decrease in the public transportation traffic in the city. Despite all the measures taken in public transport, the participants prefer to drive private vehicles.

Along with the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, a transformation is in place in all domains of life across the entire world. Undoubtedly, this transformation had spatial, economic, and social effects more on the cities and the city dwellers. Numerous sectors such as shopping, health, and education were influenced by the restriction of urban activities and the interruption of individual mobility. This state of restrictions during the pandemic has reverberations directly on the transport services and indirectly on the individuals’ transport behaviors. In this context, the study aims to explore the individuals’ changing intracity transport behaviors and transport türe choices. With this aim, the capital city Ankara where the spread/infection speed of the disease was relatively high in Turkey was designated as the area for sample selection. By using the snowball sampling method, online surveys were held with 169 persons on 20-23 April 2021. The survey findings demonstrated that, as per the comparison of the period before and during the pandemic, there were statistically significant differences in the türes of transport used and the frequencies of transport use. It was identified that the participants’ anxiety about being infected with the disease in the public transport systems increased, and hence, the number of trips which they made via public transport fell. It was observed that the participants preferred to use private car or taxicab despite all measures taken in public transport.
